What it does
The employer side of Bdjobs.com, Bangladesh's largest job portal — a hiring platform covering the full recruitment workflow from posting a job through online assessments and interviews, with application management and resume handling in between.
My role
I worked with product, backend, and QA teams to migrate the Bdjobs.com corporate panel from legacy ASP to Angular and ASP.NET Core, modernizing the stack while keeping a high-traffic platform running.
I built two features that moved the business number directly — the Employer Job Posting and Hiring System and the Candidate SkillMatch Score — which together increased platform sales by 17%.
I also implemented a CQRS-style architecture with an ETL pipeline that separated the read and write databases for job listings, and optimized queries to cut search time.
Why this stack
Angular and ASP.NET Core were the target of the legacy-ASP migration, so the choice was set by where the platform was heading. The interesting decision was architectural rather than technological: employers posting jobs and job seekers searching them are two workloads with opposite needs, and forcing both through one normalized MSSQL schema was what made search slow. The ETL split let each side have the shape it wanted.
